First home match a roaring sucess!

Sunday 11th Oct Tor Vs Cheddar minis at Tor

Wow what a morning!

Cheddar brought along teams ranging from U6s to U12s to give Tor minis their first home match of the season

It was a brilliant morning with all the core values of Rugby on show for all to see and cheer- the Tor teams met with stiff opposition from well organised Cheddar teams -all players gave impressive accounts of themselves and  Tor ran out winners of several matches
Many Tor  players are in their very first season, the feedback from coaches was how well they took to the first taste of competition.. and in the case of the U9s contact in a match for the first time!

The car park was full, the club house buzzing, post sausage and chips were flowing, the cake stall did a roaring trade... thank you to all the volunteers that made it happen, may the club continue to go from strength to strength.

Looking forward to a great weekend!

Well its a big weekend in the Rugby World Cup..and its a big weekend for us as its the last week of training  before our first matches !

Can we all remember gum shields for U9s upwards

The last half an hour of training this week the U9s will be Mixing with the U10s to form 3 teams or so for some "mini matches" played to under 9s rules to allow the U9S their first taste of a "real game" with contact ...be it a grab and hold tackle for 3 seconds or a "tower of power ring of steel" low down  tackle -we will referee the matches with the emphasis on "coaching" as we ref  and of course safety of the players will be paramount

The U10s will also get to mix  with some of the U11s again playing to U10s rules

Club House-
The club house has been really busy  during the World Cup which is great ...don't forget to watch your team there on the big screens
The club house is open to all but please respect it- no post training food or feet on the new sofas please - save the jumping about for the pitch!
